Cinc Performance (Cinc.) is a boutique consulting business focused on operations, process improvement and cost reduction. We apply 'lean manufacturing' philosophies, tools and principles to help clients in a wide variety of industries solve problems similar to those mentioned below (see Our Services).

When clients engage Cinc., they get deep specialist expertise and a senior team that is able to get to great outcomes, efficiently. The business was founded by Peter Campbell who previously led EY Oceania's Supply Chain & Operations practice.

The Cinc. team have significant experience across a variety of operating environments and sectors. Below are a number of sample case studies from projects led by members of our team:

Business Lending  | Big-4 Bank

We were hired to improve the business lending fulfilment process and reduce time-to-decision. Our scope covered ten fulfilment centres and around 600 full-time employees. We delivered a 64% reduction in time-to-decision and an 80% productivity uplift across the workforce.

    Personal Loans  | Big-4 Bank

    We were engaged to improve the fulfilment of on-line personal loan applications. Over 13 weeks, we reduced time-to-decision reduced by 80%, increased conversion rates by 150% and reduced application-to-cash time by 50%.

      Ombudsman Complaints  | AU Telco

      We were brought to improve the company’s handling of Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman (TIO), NBN and CEO complaints. We achieved an 82% productivity uplift across TIO complaint case management teams (80 full-time employees), a 194% productivity uplift with the pilot team, and a 50% increase in 48-hour resolution rates across the centre. Also, within 3 weeks, we removed 1,947 days of customer wait time from the complaints portfolio.

        Lean Training  | Big-4 Consultancy

        We have developed lean training modules to build foundational skills and understanding for both internal teams and clients. Content is customised to context and preferred duration. Typical half and full day courses include a health insurance claims simulation, theory and multiple case studies from our portfolio of work to demonstrate practical 'real world' application and the types of results that can be achieved.

        Radiotherapy | Cancer Treatment Provider

        We were asked to reduce changeover times for radiotherapy treatments, increase capacity and improve the patient experience. We delivered an 85 minutes per day capacity release for the pilot facility which equated to an extra 1,670 treatments per year. The client then undertook to scale to their network of 51 machines resulting in 89,000 additional treatments per year.

          Global Financial Services Business

          We completed a whole-of-business cost reduction diagnostic and then assisted the client to implement specific initiatives across Australian, US and UK operations. A key program centred on improving operational disciplines and productivity. Average productivity uplifts achieved exceeded 15%.

            Dr. Peter Campbell

            Founder

            Prior to founding Cinc., Peter was a partner at EY for 8 years, leading their Supply Chain Practice for Oceania and the global lead for 'Intelligent Operations'.

            Peter has a Systems Engineering PhD in lean manufacturing, an Honours degree in Economics and over 20 years of experience as a lean / process improvement specialist across automotive (Ford and Robert Bosch), heavy vehicle manufacturing, banking and consulting (EY and KPMG). His deep technical understanding of lean manufacturing has allowed him to successfully apply that knowledge to improve performance across a variety of other operational environments, including: banking (retail, business and institutional), insurance, utilities, public sector, retail, health, telecommunications, logistics, IT, wealth management and defence. This includes substantial work in front, middle and back office operating environments driving productivity and cost reduction whilst enhancing customer service and staff engagement.

            Peter is a member of the Australian National University Research School of Engineering Industry Advisory Board, has guest lectured for the Melbourne Business School Executive MBA program in ‘lean operations’, is a former President of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (Australia) and was the Victorian Government’s ‘Young Manufacturer of the Year’ (2007).
